Terms of service
Last updated 22 September 2026
1. Who we are
UpShift Fit is operated by Sydo IT Services Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 13609540), registered office Cavendish House, Littlewood Drive, Cleckheaton, BD19 4TE ("we", "us"). Contact us through the contact form on our website.
By creating an account you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.
2. Health disclaimer, which matters most
UpShift Fit is not a medical service and gives no medical advice. Meal plans, calorie and protein targets, rebalancing after meals out, and workouts are general information generated automatically from what you tell us. They are not a substitute for advice from a doctor, dietitian or other qualified professional.
- Talk to a doctor before starting any new diet or exercise plan, especially if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, under 18, have a medical condition, an eating disorder or a history of one, or take medication affected by diet.
- Check every meal yourself for allergens. The plans are written by an AI model from the information you enter, and may be wrong, incomplete or unsuitable. If you have a food allergy or intolerance, never rely on the app alone.
- Stop any exercise that causes pain, and take responsibility for exercising safely and in a suitable space.
- Calorie and nutrition figures are estimates, and estimates of meals you ate out are approximate.
3. Your account
- You must be 18 or over and give accurate information.
- Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens on your account, and should tell us at once if you think someone else has access.
- A household account may be shared with the people you invite. Anyone in your household can see the household's plans, profiles and settings, so only invite people you are happy to share that with.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, misuses the service, or does not pay.
4. Subscriptions and payment
Paid subscriptions are not open yet. When they launch, this section will set out prices, billing periods, renewal, refunds and cancellation. Nothing here obliges you to pay for anything today.
Your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected, including the 14-day right to cancel a new subscription, which you may lose once you ask for the service to start immediately and it has been fully supplied.
5. Fair use of AI features
Generating and rebalancing plans costs us money for each request, so each plan includes a reasonable allowance. We may set limits, and we will make them clear before you buy. Do not use automated tools to generate plans in bulk or to resell what the service produces.
6. Licence to use the service
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use UpShift Fit and its apps for your household's own use, for as long as your account is open and any fees are paid. You must not copy, resell, rent out or sub-licence the service, reverse engineer it, attempt to break its security, or use it to build a competing product.
7. Your content and the plans
You keep ownership of what you enter, such as profiles, notes and preferences. You give us permission to use it to run the service, including sending the planning details to our AI provider to generate your plans, as described in the privacy policy.
The plans, recipes and workouts the service produces for you are yours to use for your household. Our software, design, trade marks and documentation stay ours.
8. Trade marks
UpShift Fit™ and the UpShift Fit logo are trade marks of Sydo IT Services Ltd. You may not use them without our written permission, except to refer fairly to the service. All other names and brands mentioned belong to their owners and are used only to describe compatibility. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Microsoft, Google, Apple, MyFitnessPal or any other third-party service.
9. Availability
We aim to keep the service running and will avoid unnecessary interruptions, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error free. We may change or withdraw features, and we will give reasonable notice of significant changes. Calendar sync, notifications and other integrations depend on services we do not control, and may stop working at short notice.
10. Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
Otherwise, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or loss of data beyond our reasonable control, and our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period, or £100 if you have not paid anything. We are not liable for health outcomes arising from your use of plans or workouts, which you use at your own risk, subject to the paragraph above.
11. Ending the agreement
You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. Deleting your account removes your data as described in the privacy policy. We may end this agreement by giving you reasonable notice, and will refund any period you have paid for but cannot use.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date above and, if the change materially affects you, tell you by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.
13. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you may bring proceedings in your own country's courts.
